2002-2004
Montreal Matters was a yearly multi-partner and multimedia series for CBC Montreal. I designed the overall look and feel for the online series and the websites for these launches:
- Montreal Matters 2002 (MONEY)
- Montreal Matters 2003 (HOME)
Both of these sites won RTNDA awards for Central Canada (Radio Television News Directors Association) for best website.
Responsibilities
- Took custom photography, designed interface, created HTML & Javascript templates.
- Developed online content & maintained the site throughout the series.
- Promoted on-going events, updated daily calendars, both interactive and print versions.
- Converted all CBC Radio’s audio files into Real Media and archived them online so that all of the series’ programming could be searched using multiple search fields.
- Created a classification system and archived all of the audio clips for easy access and retrieval.
- Designed multimedia presentations for the official launches of the series at the McCord Museum and the Biosphere.

CBC Montreal Website
Worked on the re-design of the Montreal website with Regional Web Developers.
- Offered technical support and trained CBC reporters to upload their own material to the Web using Real Media and WebWriter, an in-house Content Management System (CMS).
- Managed special projects like the community outreach project, CBC Livewire, a mobile kiosk.
- Designed microsites for special projects and community and cultural events for CBC Radio and CBC Television.
- Created in-house and external design (logos, small ads, postcard, posters) for cultural and community events for CBC Radio.
- Took several informal photo shoots to document events and create an image bank.
Designed a poster for Urban Tales, an evening of storytelling inspired by the city of Montreal.
Designed a full colour poster for the 2002 launch of Montreal Matters.
Designed a poster for the 2003 Quebec Short Story Competition.
