The IBM Ottawa Software Lab is an advanced research and development centre with a rich history and a global reputation for innovative technical achievement. I worked as an EPIC student during my MA studies at Concordia University.
Responsibilities
- Promoted the IBM Software Group Labs (Ottawa, Montreal & Victoria) by managing intranet content.
- Researched and wrote intranet articles, leveraged existing articles of interest to the SWG (Software Group) community.
- Worked in collaboration with various IBM groups (Executive, Training, Recruiting, HR, IT, Sports Committee) to promote events and disseminate information.
- Documented technical, sporting and community events with on-line photo galleries or wikis.
- Responsible for overall design; created graphics and optimized photos as needed.
Additional Support
- Created signage and custom graphics for the Extreme Blue teams: Interactive Powerpoint presentations & full colour technical posters (36"x48").
- Created an interactive Flash interface for a Memento CD for the EX.I.T.E. camp (science & technology camp for girls), which gathered all the photos and videos of the event.
- Helped organize student activities (Future Blue Day & Extreme Blue Local Expo) & community events like EX.I.T.E. and the Century Ride (cycling event for charity).
