Julie Lapalme offers consultation services as a Digital Content Strategist. Based in Montreal, she specialises in bilingual web content management. She has gained wide-ranging experience in digital communications over the years from working in various environments: from the artist-run-centre to not-for-profit organisations, from the public sector to corporations and HigherEd.
Julie is a passionate advocate for biodiversity and urban greening, with a keen interest in ecological landscape design. A graduate of the University of Guelph in Horticulture, she also earned a Sustainable Urban Horticulture Certificate to further learn about urban agriculture, organic farming and food security.
Julie holds an MA in Littératures francophones et résonances médiatiques from Concordia University and a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. Her art practice is research and process-driven with a strong literary component.
She has received multiple grants and awards for her art over the years and has widely exhibited her artwork. She has served on several juries and was awarded art residencies across the country. Julie has also given many workshops in the arts community, offering mentoring services to both artists and students.
Julie is a self starter who also enjoys the benefits and challenges of working as part of a team. Art, design, and literature background has helped develop creative outlook, critical mind and respect of process.
